Google Adsense is a way that you can earn some additional cash from your website and there are great promises made by a number of marketers online that you can indead become very rich through the use of Google Adsense.

So far, I haven’t become rich through Adsense. :(

How about you?

Have you been following the gurus?

The thing that really strike me about the trying to make money from adsense is, you have to in it to win it.

And, no matter what new white hat/black hat method or system is being promoted now or tomorrow, Google will always be one step ahead and will always have the power to change the goal posts at any time.

I also think your sites do need to be designed and be useful to your visitors – you need to build real sites of interest and place your adsense carefully.

I’m coming rapidly to the conclusion that an Adsense income for me will be simply a bonus on top of any other incomes I manage to generate.

I feel more and more that trying to build an adsense empire is and making it a key part of my online stategy is just too labour intensive for the return I’m actually acheiving.

Now, no doubt, someone out there will tell me that if I use “this system” or “that system” and spend a few hundred dollars on the latest ebook or template system, then I’ll earn thousands a month from adsense.

I’m not convinced.

But I’m not out.

I will continue to place adsense on my sites and I know that some sights are generating clicks and incomes for me, so I’m not going to give it up, just see it as a bonus.

At Software4Marketers.com I do have a number of softwares and systems to help me and you build sites and protect them from adsense abuse – so I will continue to chase the dream.

And today, I uploaded my latest article site that is designed to be of interest to the reader AND the search engines. Of course I have my adsense code in there as well as my Amazon links.

I’ve just started to get the site indexed via Stumble Upon and Del.icio.us

Here’s hoping I get my bonus!

Marketing your website can be even more difficult that first imagined.

It’s not good enough to just “build it and they will come”. Visitors need to be attracted and even driven to your site in order that you get the exposure you need.

This is especially so if your website has any intentions of generating business for your company.

Somewhere to place my ebooks

I am fortunate enough to have access to a number of really superb ebooks that have until now been collecting dust on my hard disk drive.

As part of trying to maximise my return on everything I’ve invested in over the last few months, I decided I needed to find a way of promoting the ebooks I have. I need to do this because every month I get at least two brand new ebooks in a given subject delivered from my suppliers.

So I’ve published a new site that will act as a central portal for the ebooks, and will point at the individual sales pages for those books.

Hopefully, I can generate the necessary traffic and gain some exposure and perhaps some sales also…

The new site is Helpful-Ebooks.com

All the listings will also be available to my affiliate scheme. Affiliates will be rewarded with a 50% commission on any ebook they promote and sell.

Could this be the answer?

I just got a great tip off from John Delavera, and no it wasn’t to rush and buy something! ;)

John is a master marketer and really never misses an opportunity, but he is also a great communicator. The emails I get from his are always interesting , entertaining and “different” and he genuinely offers a great guiding light in the jungle that is Internet Marketing.

I consider myself lucky – I’m a member of his Turbo Membership and with that comes not only all the tools you need to get an online business started within a matter of hours, you get access to his Turbo Community which is worth it’s weight in gold and full of great, helpful and like-minded people.

Anyway, the tip was two-fold, and it’s something you can easily adapt in building traffic, visitors and subscribers to your list – don’t ever forget to keep building your list, it’s where your future customers come from.

Part one is, use a blog, but instead of struggling as I do to write up topics, post VIDEO links to your blog. Video is always more interesting to your visitors rather than ramblings like this one. :D

Part two is following this through here and posting the same video that John passed on to me. It has already has a big audience, but is a really clever little video that made me think about how the internet has and will continue to develop and what part we, as marketers can play.

Here’s is the link Web 2.0 Video

Let me know what you think…
