If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed Thanks for visiting!

In a few days time, James Grandstaff launches his follow up to his enormously successful Downline Secrets membership with Downline Secrets 2.

If you are on my subscriber’s list, then there is a fair chance that you have been part of the beta testing of Downline Secrets 2. James has just posted a sneak preview of the Elite area of Downline Secrets 2 on the pre-launch blog and he specifically shows you the first few lines of the sales page for joining the Downline Secrets 2 Elite membership. In that preview, he has the quotation from his friend who took this system for a test drive and managed to generate 86 new prospects in 48 hours.

Well, it was a great honor to be THAT person. Yes I am THAT beta tester, and all of you who joined me in the downloading of James’ publication "How To Get Rich Building A Lazy Downline" are also part of the beta test team.

The launch for Downline Secrets 2 is on 29th August and should not be missed as James has put together the "complete" and "hands free" marketing system for you that just simply "works".

Many of my subscribers can testify to that!

If you have downloaded and read the special report "How To Get Rich Building A Lazy Downline" and wish to leave a comment, feel free to do so below. I’ll reveal what I’m allowed to before the 29th arrives

The changes continue

In my previous post I outlined my plan to move things around on my hosting accounts and even where my domain names are registered.

So far, I’ve hade to run throught the domain transfer procedure twice. It’s supposed to be simple and automatic, but there are a few things that need to be set up before the transfer can happen.

I’m changing from GoDaddy to Name Cheap. The first thing you need to do is to supply Name Cheap with something called an EPP. You get this from GoDaddy by logging ito your GoDaddy account, selecting your account and clicking on the link at the bottom left marked :

Authorization Code:   Send by Email

You can then use the code that is sent to you within the Name Cheap control panel.

You also have to remember to Unlock the domain at GoDaddy as well as cancel and Private Subscriptions you have at GoDaddy before your transfer will go through!

On the business of moving hosts, it’s just as tricky. But I have found a super tool that lets you manage your multiple Web Hosting Managers from a single desktop application. It’s pretty new on the market, but it been a godsend for me and my challenge of changing and creating my new hosting plans in bulk.

If you want to see the application I’ve been using with great success, check it out here : Watch This Video

I think I’ll be at this for a few more days yet!

I’m ALWAYS Making Work For Myself

Bit of rant coming up – so cover your ears if you are of a nervous disposition, but I’ve only got myself to blame.

I seem to be forever tweaking and twisting things on my desktop, in my autoresponder, in my web copy, in my graphics,in my to-do list etc etc…

The latest tweak has resulted in a bit of a headache, but it’s to do with value for money, so it’s important. For more than two years I held a  web hosting resseller account with a UK company called Heart Internet. They’ve been excellent and I have no problem in recommending their services to anyone based in the UK who want a good reliable host.

However, as time has passed, I’ve found myself registering more and more .com domains and placing more and more small sites behind these domains. I have found that this is a really competitive market, especially in the US, and I found myself picking up another reseller hosing account (to give me the most flexability) at Hostgator and they have also been excellent. They recently helped me through the process of installing my SSL Certificate into my Profit Tools Central sytem so that my customer and affiliates are secure in the knowledge that the pages they view within that system are encrypted and secure.

So where is the pain?

I decided that I will move EVERY site I have from Heart Internet to Hostgator. This I can assure you is no mean feat.

The process has started, but I can see about a weeks worth of work  in migrating everything over. Every site, every database, every email address and I can already feel a nosebleed coming on!

There of course may be some interuptions to some of the sites and services I provide, so I also risk losing sales, subscribers and sales – so it is a bit risky. But over all I’ll be able to centralise my web hosting again and get all the features I need at a single low cost fee. I will sale over $700 a year doing this, so it’s got to be worthwhile.

To add to my stress, I’ve also decided to transfer nearly all my domain names from Go Daddy to Name Cheap, simply because I think there’s a better deal offered at Name Cheap.

So what’s the point of posting this information here? Well it’s two fold – one is just a release for me, to get the whole thing out of my brain onto the blog, and secondly, really just to share my experience, where I have now decided that I’ve found the host I want to be with. Perhaps when you come to setting up your first domain or website and you are wondering what I’ve found to be the best I can afford, you will find this post useful.

That’s it – ahhhh, I feel better for that.

Two facelifts completed

Over the weekend I carried out two big face lifts on two important sites that I run.

Number one – you are looking at it! After a period of trying to find themes, skins and plug-ins to make the most of my blog, I turned to the SemioLogic system. This is a comprehensive, ready to use package that allows you to make the most of the Word-press platform, including management of navigation, advertising, subscriptions etc etc.

I’ve been really impressed with how easy it has been to configure this blog into a clean but professional looking (and very functional) site. I’m hoping that you also like it and find it easy on the eye. All comments, both good and bad are most welcome below.

The second face lift occurred over at Unique Content Generator

Alex at Bling Covers has done a super job of freshening up the look of the site at Unique Content Generator. He’s managed to bring new life to the site and even managed to incorporate a request from me to include a reference to the fact that this is the UK version of this service. Can you spot what he’s done?

I’m really hoping that the new look at Unique Content Generator will help you give memberships away.

Why would you want to do this?

Well, by giving away this service using your affiliate link, you can benefit from a number of opportunities. The first being the One Time Offer all new members are offered, which has a good conversion rate – you can earn 50% commission  on this. Further more, the follow up auto-responder series of messages offer more related products and services. These messages are "hard coded" with your affiliate links to these products and services – so again you can earn 50% commissions here.

All you have to do is "give it away"!

I’d love to hear your opinion on the new look blog (you are looking at now) and refreshed Unique Content Generator.
