Going For Number One

A few weeks back I managed to strike number one in the Google search engine for a few days when I was promoting Turbo Big Bang.

Many of you commented at the time that you would like to know what it was I did to achieve this.

I was going to produce my own report and expose my techniques, but in the last couple of weeks, Craig Beckta beat me to it with his brilliant Secret Affiliate Code product. He pretty much documented what I’d done during the Turbo Big Bang promotion, but he went a lot further than me in revealing the tricks of the super affiliates. Many of the tools he suggested were not new to me, but his attention to detail was!

So, I’m going to put the whole thing into action again, this time with the additional material I got from Craig.

If you are interested in seeing what happens, then you might want to bookmark this post or subscribe to the RSS feed as I’ll document things here as I go along.

The first thing that has happened in the last couple of days is, I’ve been fortunate enough to have received a Joint Venture invitation from a marketer who is planning the launch of his new product in early July.

I’ve been able to communicate directly with Chris, and he is allowing me to review his product in advance of release.

This is something really new to me. Normally, I’m at the tail end of product releases trying to make something of a product launch, once it’s under way. Usually, the “big boys” have already got their campaigns well and truly under way by the time I hear about them. Are you the same?

One of the “reveals” in Secret Affiliate Code is THE source for Joint Venture invitations, and I can tell you now, this information is dynamite.

So now I’m preparing a “Landing Page” which will in fact be a review of this new product that is to be released in July. I’m also going to prepare a bonus that will supplement this review should anyone choose to actually by the new product.

I’m also now in the middle of preparing my strategy for securing a high position in the search engines for this new product so that if someone out there likes the sound of it, they can find my review and bonus offering, and of course, if they are already looking for this product, they may well be close to buying it – maybe they will buy it through my affiliate link??

Can you see how this works?

Could you do the same for your product or service?

This strategy does involve a bit of work, so it’s not for lazy people who just want things to happen for them automatically with no effort on their part, but essentially creates a network of high ranking back links to your chosen product or landing page.

It’s worth pointing out that all I intend to spend on this campaign is the cost of a single domain name (less than 10 bucks), although this is actually optional. The whole point of this is not to run up expensive advertising costs or pay per click bills. I’m using this method because it’s essentially free.

I’d love to think I could hit number one again, because, unlike Turbo Big Bang, this new product is going to be both based around a subject that EVERY serious aspiring internet marketer needs to be not only familiar with, but be able to actually do : Building Your List. In fact, without breaking any confidentiality rules, this product will automate your list building. ;)

Also, and again unlike Turbo Big Bang, it’s going to be AFFORDABLE. I can tell you that it is NOT going to be hundreds of dollars to buy.

So watch this space as I will be posting regular updates to this subject as each piece of the jigsaw is put into place. Once I have reviewed the product and created my bonus package, you will be the first to know.

Here Is A Nice Quick Guide To Social Bookmarking

We often hear a lot about website traffic generation methods that include social bookmarking.

Sometimes this is referred to as part of Web 2.0 revolution.

The thing to bear in mind that social bookmarking should only be a part of your strategy to drive traffic to your sites and pages, and not the only thing you do. It shouldn’t be over used because if you do, since these site are generally policed by other members and users, it’s very easy to upset the communities within these sites and get yourself banned as a spammer.

If you like this post, you can bookmark it into all or any of the social bookmarking sites listed below the post using the little icons, just by clicking on them.

Here is another nice video that will help you understand the principle and the power of social bookmarking both as an internet user and a web master.

RSS or Really Simple Syndication is not new. It’s been around for some time and many sites including this one offers an RSS service.

But for me, it took me a little while to really see the benefit of RSS and work out why I’d want to use it both as a reader and as a publisher.

This video does a great job explaining it all in plain English.

How To Get Started On Your First Product

I came a cross a really useful post over at Martin Butler’s UK Internet Marketing School where he has taken the time to create a short video on how to get started with the creation of your first product.

As Martin says in his post, you need to differentiate yourself from the crowd as there is just too much competition with licensed products like Master Resale and Resale Products.

So, if you are serious about your internet marketing career, you do need to be thinking along the lines of at least creating your own ebook. But getting that ebook written may seem daunting.

Here’s the secret – the way to get it done quickly and easily is not to do it yourself. Get the work outsourced.

In the video below, Martin gives us a quick guide to one of the biggest and best resources for outsourcing your work - Elance.

Thanks Martin!
