Free Publications And Lessons In Getting Traffic

In the last couple of days I learned a number of new ways to help generate an increase in web traffic to my site.
This is what happens when you sit down and actually take time to read up some of the many reports and publications I’ve invested in over the last couple of years. Finding that time is always difficult, but whenever I do find the time, I never regret it.
The other thing I’ve done is found time to sit and actually watch the Barking Videos which I recently aquired the resale rights to.
The lifeblood of any website or link to a website is naturally traffic. With no traffic, there’s no point in even having a website. The site can be the smartest, prettiest and clever site in the world, but without incoming traffic it’s like opening a corner shop in the Sahara Dessert – you may get the odd curious visitors if they happen to passing by, but you won’t last long as a commercial venture.
One method I jumped on as soon as I’d finished watching the video on the Barking Videos site was the one on the use of RSS and using it to generate traffic. I’ve applied what I learned and even on this blog, if you look carefully, you will find self publishing RRS feeds that are already starting to bring me visitors to my [Software Sales Site->http://www.software4marketers.com] and my Specialist Article Sites. This was very easy to do after wartching the video dedicated to the subject at Barking Videos.
Secondly, and if you like free reports and publications, I’m now using Scribd.com to publish any free reports or ebook I have so that the can be shared easily using what is rapidly becoming a very popular site.
Scribd.com is a sort of "YouTube for Documents" and has a growing membership and a high ranking in all the main search engines. If my publications can make use of these high rankings, they may well end up toward the top of the results pages on the search engines. This should of course bring even more traffic to the links and sites I’ve published within these documents.
Anyone who received the three free ebooks from me over the last few days can use Scribd.com within a few minutes and do the same – but this would of course become more powerful if the ebooks have been branded with YOUR links.
The last method I’ve recently applied is to generate as many [backlinks->http://hitfor.info/3WayLinks] to a selection of the sites I’m running and I’m beginning to see a rise in subscriptions on some of thos sites some I believe the backlink method is beginning to take effect.

Ok, take this blog, I’d like it to rank highly in Google if someone searches for "the truth behind internet marketing". If you try this, then you will find I’m ranking number one (impressive eh?)

Remember, although these are things I’m doing, they are things that you can do too - all it takes is some commitment on your part that you will take action and apply the time, effort and a little money to see you on your way.
